Provost Administrative Fellowship Program

The Provost’s Office is pleased to announce the establishment of the Provost Administrative Fellowship Program. The program will be available in the fall to four faculty members at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with less than ten years experience since their Ph.D. to work in the Provost’s Office for the fall or spring semesters. There will be two fellowships per semester in academic year 2000/2001.

Dr. Anthony Catanese Withdraws From UF Presidential Search

Dr. Anthony Catanese, president of Florida Atlantic University, has withdrawn his candidacy for president of the University of Florida. The Board of Regents Selection Committee will meet in Gainesville on May 17 with the Presidential Search Advisory Committee to discuss the search.

Parking Decals Expire May 1, 2000

Please be reminded that your current parking decal will expire on May 1, 2000. If you have not yet renewed your parking decal for the new academic year, please take steps to do so immediately.

You may purchase your decal in person from the Decal Office located on the northeast corner of North South Drive and Mowry Road. The office will be open extended hours from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday during the first week in May.

Reading Days and Final Examinations

I am writing to ask your assistance in reminding faculty and graduate teaching assistants that final examinations are to be given when scheduled. They should not be given during the reading period. If the faculty member has assigned a take home paper or a take home examination instead of an in-class final examination, students should have until the day of the final examination to complete the requirement.
