The Department of Management Services, Division of Purchasing has made available to all State agencies the opportunity to purchase insurance for electronic data processing equipment. The insurance will provide all risk, replacement coverage and the program is voluntary for all agencies.

Increased Maximum Bonus Payment

We are pleased to announce an increase in the maximum bonus payment allowed for both A&P employees and USPS employees who are exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Under the revised rule 6C-5.915, the new maximum bonus payment for A&P and exempt USPS employees is fifteen percent of the employee’s base rate of pay. Reimbursable expense tax for Foreign Visitors

This note is to inform you that retroactive to January 28, 1998, the tax on reimbursable travel expenses for non-resident alien independent contractors will no longer be applied.

Prior to this date, a tax was levied on reimbursable expenses for alien independent contractors at a rate up to 30% unless a tax treaty with the visitor’s government and the US Government provided otherwise.
