In a number of circumstances, Florida law and UF policies prohibit UF faculty, staff, officials and trustees (“UF personnel”) from asking for or accepting gifts, gratuities, and favors (“gift”), which include, for example, meals, food/candy, beverages, travel, entertainment, events, outings, items, loans, and favors/benefits/advantages.

Summer 2014 Commencement Information

Ceremonies: This summer, there will be two (2) university-wide commencement ceremonies – a Doctoral Degree Ceremony (Friday, August 8th at 4:00pm) and a ceremony for Masters, Specialists, and Bachelor Degree candidates (Saturday, August 9th at 10:00am).  Both ceremonies will be held in the Stephen C. Revised 2014-2015 Fringe Benefit Pool Rates

The University has calculated revised proposed rates for the pooled fringe rates for fiscal year 2014-15 and has submitted them to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Shari Robinson, the Associate Director of the Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC), as the interim director of the CWC effective May 3, 2014.  Dr. Robinson started her University of Florida tenure in 2004 as the ASPIRE coordinator, received a promotion to Assistant Director of Outreach & Consultation in 2009 and then was promoted to Associate Director for Clinical Services in 2013.

McKee, Assistant Vice President and University Controller, as Interim Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  Mr. McKee will assume the duties and responsibilities of Vice President and CFO Matt Fajack, who will depart UF for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on June 6.

2013-2014 Fiscal Year End Closing

It is that time of year again to prepare for the annual closing of the fiscal year. The 2013-2014 fiscal year ends on June 30, 2014. The scheduled date for closing the General Ledger for the 2014 fiscal year is Thursday, July 10, 2014.

Please note the early deadline of May 8, 2014 for requisitions for orders above $75,000 that require competitive bidding.
