I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Shari Robinson, the Associate Director of the Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC), as the interim director of the CWC effective May 3, 2014. Dr. Robinson started her University of Florida tenure in 2004 as the ASPIRE coordinator, received a promotion to Assistant Director of Outreach & Consultation in 2009 and then was promoted to Associate Director for Clinical Services in 2013.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael V. McKee, Assistant Vice President and University Controller, as Interim Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. McKee will assume the duties and responsibilities of Vice President and CFO Matt Fajack, who will depart UF for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on June 6.

It is that time of year again to prepare for the annual closing of the fiscal year. The 2013-2014 fiscal year ends on June 30, 2014. The scheduled date for closing the General Ledger for the 2014 fiscal year is Thursday, July 10, 2014.

The Board of the University Women’s Club has approved five (5) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to be awarded to graduate students this year.
