I am pleased to announce that Charles E. (Charlie) Lane, the University of Southern California’s associate senior vice president for career and protective services, has been named the University of Florida’s next senior vice president and chief operating officer.

Charlie will assume his new position effective April 1. He will be responsible for UF’s Division of Business Affairs, Office of Human Resource Services, Division of Information Technology and Chief Audit Executive.

University of Florida Regulation Amendments

The amendments to UF Regulation 3.0375 were approved by the Board of Trustees on December 6, 2013 and the Board of Governors on January 28, 2014.  The regulation amendments in their final form are now effective and have been published on the Regulations’ website at http://regulations.ufl.edu.

In order to better serve the University, the UF Foundation has streamlined the process to transfer UF Foundation monies over to UF PeopleSoft.  This effort is in coordination with the University’s transition to myUF Payment Solutions scheduled for implementation March 1, 2014.
