I am pleased to announce that Dr. Bernard Mair, Associate Dean in the UF College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, has been appointed to serve as Associate Provost for Undergraduate Affairs effective April 1, 2009.
Dr. Mair has served as Associate Chair and Graduate Coordinator in the UF mathematics department and head of the mathematics department at North Carolina State University.

The Foundation Board of Directors has revamped the structure of the non-endowed funds in response to campus input. Below are the changes:
Beginning April 1, all new non-endowed gifts and endowment spendable transfers will no longer be invested in the non-endowed Pools A and B. Faculty and departments should submit their Summer 2009 and Fall 2009 textbook adoptions at http://www.textadoption.ufl.edu by March 22, 2009 so that this information is available to students during advance registration. This information is also available online to all bookstores to help them ensure appropriate arrival of texts for Summer and Fall terms and better prices for student book buybacks.

To ensure that all motorized vehicles traveling on campus roadways are safe and well maintained, the University has implemented regulations 6C1-3.008 (14) and (15). Paragraph 3.008 (14) has been in effect for several years and requires all University licensed motor vehicles to be annually inspected and obtain a safety inspection decal.
