Student Assistant Appointment & Termination Processes

I am pleased to announce a series of changes to the student assistant (STAS) appointment and termination processes that we believe will significantly reduce the workload for departmental administrators and make the processes surrounding these transactions more efficient. The changes that are being implemented are the result of recommendations from a focus group involving numerous departmental and central administrative staff.

In July 2004, the university converted legacy financial and grants management systems to PeopleSoft along with new business intelligence capabilities, a new human resource system and the myUFL portal. We thank all staff and faculty for their effort in helping the university implement and adapt to the largest single change in UF administrative history. The ERP software now supports most UF business processes.

Once submitted, this information is available on-line to all bookstores, providing both students and bookstores timely and correct information about textbook requirements.
