I am pleased to announce that Dr. Pramod Khargonekar, Dean of the College of Engineering, has agreed to chair the search committee for a new dean for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The ten-person committee will begin meeting immediately to formulate a position description and appropriate advertisements. They will spend the fall semester soliciting nominations to create a broad and diverse pool from which to select candidates for visits to campus in the early spring.
