The annual open enrollment period for employee benefits, which will run from September 29 to October 24, provides University of Florida employees with the opportunity to reassess their benefits and make changes to their various state-sponsored insurance policies. As you know, the Presidential search is now in its final phase. The Search Committee will be conducting interviews on Monday and Tuesday at the Hilton. These interviews will be web-cast in real time. The committee will select finalists on late Tuesday afternoon. Presidential Search Committee To Begin Interviews Monday

The University of Florida Presidential Search Committee will interview candidates for president next week and on Wednesday will forward a list of finalists to the UF Board of Trustees from which to choose the school’s next leader.

The board is expected to interview the finalists Wednesday and announce its selection that evening. The finalists also will participate Wednesday in a series of question-and-answer forums with UF faculty, students, administrators and community members.

Request for Proposals for Innovations in Uses of Technology in Instruction

The Office of Academic Technology is seeking proposals from UF faculty to conduct projects that improve teaching and learning outcomes. The purposes of the grants are to facilitate redesign of instructional approaches to enhance quality of teaching using technology and to reduce collateral costs of instruction.

New, Lower Long Distance Rates

Effective October 1, 2003, CNS-Telecom is pleased to announce a lower long distance rate alternative for the campus. This new service is for on campus faculty and staff numbers starting with the prefix of 392, 846, 294 and 273.

The new long distance rate will be 5.5 cents a minute versus the current 8.0 cents a minute – a savings of over 30%. This rate is for both intrastate (within state) and interstate (out of state) calls. To take advantage […]
