TEAMS December Leave Cashout

TEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave—regardless of FTE—during the pay period of November 17 to November 30. In order to be eligible employees must have 40 hours of vacation leave on balance after the end of that pay period. Eligible employees who participate will receive the cash-out payment in their December 8 paychecks.

Update on GatorJobs, UF’s New Employee Applicant Tracking System

As previously communicated, GatorJobs, UF’s new employee applicant tracking system, is scheduled to go live on Monday, October 16, 2006. To date, over 300 staff members have attended training on the new system and an additional 160 employees are scheduled for this week. Please be sure that all staff within your departments who have posting responsibilities have attended training. As with other HR-related systems, training is required before access to the system will be granted.

State of Florida minimum wage will increase on January 1, 2007

As communicated last year, the State of Florida will now increase the State minimum wage effective January 1 of each year. Effective January 1, 2007, the State of Florida’s minimum wage will increase to $6.67 per hour. Florida’s minimum wage is $1.52 more than the current $5.15 federal minimum wage.

Once submitted, this information is available on-line to all bookstores, providing both students and bookstores timely and correct information about textbook requirements.
