As many of you are aware, the University has an equipment maintenance insurance contract, which has saved some areas thousands of dollars. The savings have been received by either the lower premiums offered from our contractor, or vendors reducing their prices to meet the competition.

This short letter is to inform you about the proposal for a new funding model for UF and FSU which you may have read about in Saturday’s Sun. The President of FSU and I have proposed a pilot five-year higher education services contract model.
