Effective February 1, 2003, the University will implement a policy and procedure to safeguard attractive/sensitive property items, costing less than the current inventory level of $1,000.00/each. This is equipment that is easily transportable and highly susceptible to theft. Graduate Assistant Spring Semester Increases

In response to two grievances filed by the Graduate Assistants United-UFF, a settlement was reached by the Florida Board of Education, for the University of Florida, on 12/24/02 with the concurrence of the Provost and the Vice President for Research and Graduate Education.

Instructor and Lecturer Faculty Titles

Effective January 17, 2003, the Instructor title will no longer be used in the Academic Personnel Plan. All faculty who have the Instructor title will have his/her title changed to the Lecturer title. The Lecturer title will have three academic levels: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Master Lecturer. For a faculty member to advance to Senior Lecturer or Master Lecturer, he/she would have to go through the promotion process at the appropriate time.

International Student Concerns at UF

Vehicle Safety Inspection

All vehicles assigned to University of Florida departments are required to have an annual safety inspection. This inspection is accomplished by the Physical Plant Division Motor Pool for all vehicles located in close proximity of the University of Florida campus. Departments with vehicles that are located outside the Gainesville area are authorized to accomplish this annual inspection by competent “in-house” mechanics or by certified commercial vendors.

Departments are notified by the Motor Pool when their vehicle requires an annual inspection.

Registration/Budgeting Authority For Vehicle Accounts
