Traditionally, the Builder Services Department in Physical Plant has been providing loan of tables, chairs, risers, and podiums for official University programs. A dedicated crew was established to inventory and deliver and pick-up these loaned items. When the crew was not engaged in equipment loans, it was made available to E&G activities to move furniture and other bulky and heavy items. The purpose of this memorandum is to provide for the establishment of coordinated procedures for receipt of payments from outside third-parties through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network. The airlines industry recently reduced the commissions paid to travel agencies. This reduction has resulted in some agencies attempting to recoup the lost commissions by charging a surcharge for their services. Please be advised that the State Comptroller’s office will not approve payment of this surcharge.
University travelers should make their travel agencies aware, prior to using their services, that a surcharge or any additional fee for services will not be paid by the State.
