Martindale, Director of the Kewalo Marine Laboratory at the University of Hawaii has been appointed Director of the Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience as of January 1, 2013. After 27 years of service, Dr. Thomas Walsh has announced his retirement from the University of Florida effective April 15, 2013. He will be stepping down as Director of the Division of Sponsored Research (DSR) at the University of Florida effective September 30, 2012, and will serve as Associate Vice President and Special Advisor to the Vice President for Research for the balance of his term.
