As a federal contractor, the University of Florida is subject to the Veteran’s Readjustment Act of 1974 that requires the university to report veteran status annually for employees and new hires. The university collects veteran status information upon hire; however, due to changes in the veteran status codes, employee data previously collected and stored in the myUFL system is no longer aligned with the new federal reporting requirements.
